Neon Grid Shoulder Clinger

1. Spot clean your Clinger with a damp cloth and a solution of rubbing alcohol or vinegar, depending on the type of stain. We recommend a cheeky google on cleaning wool when you’re at it!
2. Hand wash in cold water or machine wash on a wool cycle with mild detergent. Dry flat, out of direct sunlight.
3. Spritz with vinegar solution to deodorise at any time. Mix 1 part vinegar and 2 parts water into a spray bottle. Shake well and spray lightly over your Clinger.
4. Remove wool pilling with a clothing brush, sweater comb or wool razor if you have one. Avoid pulling at the pilling as this can cause more damage.

This Clinger has a lengthy life ahead of it. However, if the spark fades and you don’t want your kids/grandkids to find it in your attic and take it out on the town, then here is what to do;

 

1. Repair - If your old friend is looking a bit shabby, giving it some love and attention to set things back on track.
2. Pass it on - find someone else who will enjoy the company.
3. Find another use for it - could it be a handy make up bag or a hanging vase for fresh or dried flowers?
4. Recycle it - Although they aren’t widely accessible currently there are textile recycling facilities across Australia.

Why did we choose recycled plastic mailers over compostable ones?

 

This was a personal choice as we believe that recycled mailers are more likely to be handled correctly after use. These mailers can be recycled with soft plastics wherever Redcycle collects i.e. Coles or Woolies. We don’t believe home or industrial composting is as highly accessible to Australians compared to soft plastics recycling.

 

Compostable mailers need to be composted in either an industrial composting facility or a home compost as it requires the right conditions to break down. Hence, when these mailers end up in landfill they won’t decompose.
