Light weight Piñatex stiched with shapes made from scraps. Heaps of space for your phone, keys, wallet and whatever else you may need.

Hardware - Mechanically recycled polyester YKK zip

Label - Organic cotton canvas, digitally printed with a water based pigment ink by Next State Print
Clean your Clinger thoroughly and effectively using a cloth soaked in warm soapy water. If it is heavily soiled, you can rinse with lukewarm water but never fully submerge the product as this may cause irreversible damage. Pull the lining seperate from the outer to clean and rinse.

Let your Clinger dry out of direct sunlight before any application of wax is made. Refrain from using a heat source to dry more quickly, as this could cause damage.

We recommend using a natural colourless wax for your Piñatex products apply a small amount to a dry, soft cloth and rub sparingly over the textile in a circular motion until fully absorbed. Do not use too much wax as it may not fully absorb.

Leave your Clinger to dry naturally for 24 hours after application.

You can also buff the wax off with a dry cloth or soft brush.
This Clinger has a lengthy life ahead of it. However, if the spark fades and you don’t want your kids/grandkids to find it in your attic and take it out on the town, then here is what to do;

Repair - If your old friend is looking a bit shabby, giving it some love and attention to set things back on track.

Pass it on - find someone else who will enjoy the company.

Find another use for it - could it be a handy make up bag or a hanging vase for fresh or dried flowers?

Recycle it - Although they aren’t widely accessible currently there are textile recycling facilities across Australia. Pinatex is not fully biodegradable as it is finished with a PU based coating for durability.

As part of our commitment to sustainability, we also offer free repairs within the first year of your Clinger’s life. This includes mending things like broken seams and zips. Please get in touch to see if your Clinger qualifies. You’ll just need to cover the cost of shipping and we’ll sort the rest!
Finding the right packaging for these lovely Clingers will be an ongoing journey.

Today our bags are wrapped in second-hand tissue paper or brown paper, packed into a recycled Kraft cardboard box and protected from the weather by a recycled plastic mailer.

Why did we choose recycled plastic mailers over compostable ones?

This was a personal choice as we believe that recycled mailers are more likely to be handled correctly after use. These mailers can be recycled with soft plastics wherever Redcycle collects i.e. Coles or Woolies. We don’t believe home or industrial composting is as highly accessible to Australians compared to soft plastics recycling.

Compostable mailers need to be composted in either an industrial composting facility or a home compost as it requires the right conditions to break down. Hence, when these mailers end up in landfill they won’t decompose.
